Band Placement Criteria

7th Grade Wind Ensemble:

2-4 scales depending upon instrument
Prepared Piece: Based on pitch accuracy at 100%, and rhythmic accuracy at 80% or higher
Daily Rehearsal etiquette
Completed Pass Offs Throughout year (minimum of 12)
Scale Tests throughout year: Based on pitch and rhythmic accuracy at 90% or higher
Concert and After School Rehearsal Attendance
Successful completion of 6th Grade Band

MFA Celebratory Pizza and a Movie 3:45-5:45pm for Wind Ensemble

No Rehearsal

8th Grade Only: Newnan High School Band Marching Band Rehearsal
8th Graders interested or still on the fence about marching for NHS, should attend the rehearsal. 
Bring a change of clothes. (shorts, t-shirt, gym shoes) Students will be practicing outside. Also, bring a bottle of water! It can get really hot! 

If you need a bus to NHS, you must obtain a bus pass from the front office.
